El Ada community action agency
Boise, Idaho, USA
2250 Vista Ave
Community Action Agencies are private non-profit or public organizations that were created by the federal government in 1964 to combat poverty in geographically designated areas. Status as a Community Action Agency is the result of an explicit designation by local or state government.
A Community Action Agency has a tripartite board structure that is designated to promote the participation of the entire community in the reduction or elimination of poverty.
Community Action Agencies seek to involve the community, including elected public officials private sector representatives, and especially low-income residents, in assessing local needs and attacking the causes and conditions of poverty.

Justice Ministry
“Slavery occurs when one person completely controls another person, using violence or the threat of violence to maintain that control, exploits them economically, pays them nothing, and they cannot walk away” (The CNN Freedom Project).
As a ministry at Foothills, everything we do in the justice ministry is specifically designed with that one person in mind.
Over the past few years, we have used funds from Just Grounds to provide direct services to local human trafficking victims, taken funds from art auctions to support the work of International Justice Mission and supported Free the Girls, an organization helping survivors of human trafficking start their own businesses.
We would love to talk with you and help you discover simple steps you can take to make a difference.
Take a minute to follow the links below to learn more about the issues and the organizations we work with and support to bring about change.
Other Projects
We also provide back packs, school supplies blankets , Christmas gifts and personal items to families in need.
Each year we provide a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving day to provide a place for folks to come and enjoy dinner on us so they do not have to spend this holiday alone.
The mission of Foothills Christian Church outreach is to bring love, hope, and compassion as well as share the Love of Jesus with our community through meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Our outreach has many areas in which we reach out to the multiple needs in our community.
