The Yellow Pine Campground offers 14 sites in a peaceful, remote setting near mountain slopes covered in dense pine forest. Peak season for the campground is typically early June through late September. It can be accessed by most vehicles; however the road is narrow and may be rough in spots.

Youth program provides education, training and employment opportunities for low-income youth, ages 14-21. Services are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual. Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Saves Lives!

Women’s Health Check (WHC) is funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Breast and Cervical Cancer early Detection Program (NBCCEDP). Since 1996, WHC has collaborated with other programs and agencies across Idaho to plan and coordinate public and professional education designed to increase screening rates for breast and cervical cancer.

Willow Creek Campground is located along the Middle Fork of the Boise River Forest Service (FS) road 268 and the north end of  the Arrowrock Reservior. There are 9 campsites at the campground. A stay at the campground enables guests to enjoy all the beauty and recreation offered along the river and reservoir. Weather is usually good from mid-May through late September and is easily accessible by car in good weather, although the road is sometimes rough and the drive can be seemingly long. Checking with the District on road conditions before heading out is recommended.

Willow Creek Campground is located approximately 61 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho, in a scenic Ponderosa pine forest along State Highway 21. The campground contains 4 sites that can accommodate up to 6 people each.

The service is designed to complement ValleyRide's regular bus system. The service is available to people who are unable to utilize the bus system because of a disability. Eligibility may be limited on a conditional basis, and each trip can be reviewed.

ACCESS is an origin to destination transit service for the cities of Boise, Garden City, Nampa and Caldwell. The Boise/Garden City service operates Monday through Saturday with the same hours as the fixed-line bus system. There also is origin to destination paratransit service available in Nampa and Caldwell that operates Monday through Friday with the same hours as the fixed-line bus system.

Trips may be booked up to 14 days in advance, but no later than 5:00 p.m., for service the next operating day.

A volunteer transportation service for seniors, Veterans, and those with disabilities.  It provides low cost transportation services to individuals in Ada and Canyon Counties.  All drivers are volunteers who volunteer their time and vehicles to help those with transportation needs. Valley Family Health Care offers discounted services based on the size of your household and income. The Sliding Fee Scale is determined by calculating the family’s gross monthly income and the number of people supported in the household. In order to qualify for the sliding fee, the patient must provide proof of current or annual income. Proof of income can be one of the following: Pay stub, Bank statement (showing deposits), Unemployment/Employment verification statement from the state Employment office, last year’s taxes, social security or disability printout from Medicare, or letters from the patient’s employer. Valley Family Health Care does not keep this sensitive financial information. Your income information will need to be updated every year. Insured patients that qualify for the sliding fee may receive the discount. First, the patient’s insurance plans are billed. Based on the amount of the insurance payment, deductible, pre-existing conditions, covered services, etc. the patient may get a sliding fee adjustment. Patients may receive a discount of 25%, 50% or 75% based on income and number of people supported in the household. For patients 100% or below The Federal Poverty Level, a nominal fee is charged. This program assists in getting infants, children, women, and men’s clothing (supplies are limited). They can also assist in getting diapers.

Connecting People With the Help They Need

• Though it is not a requirement to receive information about available resources, the client is asked to provide a name, address and telephone number, information pertinent to their problem - ie: landlord's name and number. They are asked what type of support they are currently receiving - ie: H&W, WIC, energy assistance, child care, whether they have family, friends or a church that can help.
• After all this information has been gathered, the client is referred to all social services for which they qualify. They are provided with phone number and name of a contact person and also informed about special requirements or documents they might need. With 3-way calling, the volunteer can place the call for them and stay on the line to make sure they reach someone who can help.
• All TVCRC volunteers have community contacts that can be tapped when needed. The volunteers may phone personal contacts for special assistance when the situation seems to warrant it, while still respecting the client's right to privacy.
• TVCRC trained volunteers focus on using the human touch to assist each client in a caring, friendly, effective manner with up-to-date information and the experience to guide the client through the maze of human services.

Highly structured parenting skills program created to help parents prevent and intervene in the most destructive of adolescent behaviors. Meets specific needs of parents with strong-willed or out-of-control children. The Ateen component@ is being held in conjunction with the Aparent project, where teens will work together to process behavior, communication and other issues affecting the family. Ages 12 to 18 are encouraged to attend.

One-on-one School Based Mentoring For Youth in Grades 1-8 In The Nampa, Caldwell, Homedale, Parma and Vallivue School Districts. Adult Volunteers (18 Yrs. and Older) Are Screened and Trained To Help Students, Referred by Their Schools, In Need of a Friend, and Role Model. Mentors Meet With Their Assigned Student Once a Week During the School Day on School Grounds. Supervision and Support Provided By Program Director.

These programs provide various educational opportunities to instill wholeness and balance in each family member. The events are designed to provide individuals opportunities to become more accomplished in the varied skills required to create harmonious systems that are collaborative and fun. Some classes offered How Can I Get My Kid to Talk to Me?, An Introduction to Compassionate, Nonviolent Communication, Positive Discipline in the Christian Home, Positive Discipline class for Parents & Providers with Children of All Ages, and Positive Discipline in the Classroom. Ben Moore of Crosswalks Campus Ministry was handing out food boxes to the students living in the dorms. At one of the campus ministry leaders meetings, the idea was brought up to begin a food pantry. St. Paul’s Catholic Student Center offered free lunch every day during the week at 12:30. There was an increase of students at this lunch. The students began to ask their friends and classmates about their thoughts on hunger in college. The results were clear: students are hungry.
A lot of students cannot afford meal plans provided by Boise State. Even the freshmen who are required to purchase one were not getting all their meals covered for the semester. Thus, Ben from Crosswalks and Teresa DeVino from St. Paul’s decided to join together to create The Horse Bit.

New babies are blessings, but they can also bring sleepless nights, crying, and extra stress. Learn an extraordinary, step-by-step approach to soothing your baby and keeping them happy.

Day Resource Center

The Day Resource Center provides breakfast, lunch and access to showers and laundry facilities for homeless and at-risk of homeless families and individuals. This program is open to the public everyday  except Wednesday and Sunday.

Residential Programs

Emergency Housing

The Salvation Army Community Family Shelter provides rooms for families and single women who need a temporary place to stay to help them overcome homelessness by giving them time to save money and find housing. This program provides housing for up to 90 days.

Transitional Housing

The Salvation Army Community Family Shelter also provides rooms for families and single women who need longer than 90 days to get back on their feet. This program is designed for people who are pursuing education, paying off significant debts, or who have other reasons that make it impossible for them to become self-sufficient in 90 days or less. This program requires a program fee that is put into a savings account for the client. Upon successful completion of the program, the money that the client saved will be paid towards housing deposits or rent.

Case Management

Both the emergency and transitional housing programs provide weekly case management for every family and single woman. During case management, weekly goals are set by identifying and utilizing client's strengths to overcome homelessness such as saving money, finding employment, and finding housing. Case management is also used as a means to keep families and women accountable in the program.

Social Skills Groups

Both emergency and transitional housing programs provide a weekly social skills group which is facilitated by Families, Etc.

Other Programs

The Salvation Army Family Shelter provides other services when available, such as gas vouchers, motel vouchers, diapers and referrals. These programs may have eligibility requirements and may not be available all times of the year. It is best to call prior to coming to see if these services are available.

Our dedicated dental care professionals offer a wide range of oral health care at five
clinics across the Treasure Valley including dental exams, cleanings, root canal therapy, and minor oral surgery. Services offered also include fillings, crowns, bridges, and partials. Free supportive housing if qualify to chronic homeless and mental health/substance abuse.  Includes case management, counseling, medication management.

Offer celebrate recovery on friday evenings starting with dinner at 6:00 pm. Large group follows at 7:00 pm and small issue specific groups immediately following at 8:00 pm. On site childcare available to parents.

Directions: From Idaho City, Idaho, travel State Highway 21 north for about 10 miles to the campground. The entrance is on the west side of the road.

Attend this class with your teen to foster healthy relationships and open discussion of dating challenges in a safe and respectful environment. Teens face many challenges today, from drinking, drug use, negative peer pressure and sexual transmitted infections to ensuring safe use of technology and social media. Research shows that the more parents are involved in discussing these issues directly with their teens, the better the outcome will be.

Tailwaters Campground is accessed from State Highway 20. There are three campsites and plenty of opportunities to fish for trout and bass. The Campground is located on the west shore of Anderson Ranch Reservoir. The Tailwaters boat ramp is within the campground provides access for rafts, motorized and non-motorized boats. Be advised:  There is an Elmore county ordinanace restricting any motorized equipment on the Lower South Fork Boise River.

Serves Meridian, Eagle, Star, West Boise (83713), & Horseshoe Bend only. Boxed/canned food, bread/bakery items, produce & meat when available.

SHIP provides a job training program which is an accredited training unit of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).  Students who complete the training earn a nationally recognized credential.  The course is a 12 week course.  SHIP also has a social venture called Second Chance Building Materials Center which provides employment for veterans and others who are in recovery from substance use disorders.  Positions include cashier/ sales person, donation clerk, and carpenter.  We make furniture and other products from reclaimed lumber for sale at Second Chance and in select nurseries in the area.

Our goal at the Sunset Community Garden is to enhance the quality of urban life foster environmental stewardship, horticultural education, rejuvenation and recreation. Through our serving the community, we will be an example to other neighborhoods interested in strengthening community bonds, unifying the neighborhood providing assistance to low income families, reaching across language barriers, community pride and ownership, connection of local business with the community, bridging the gap between generations, and creating a learning environment for children. We will provide a gathering point for cooperative activity, food security, and civic improvement. Our community garden will grow in many forms, limited only by the imaginative resources of the Sunset community in which it is rooted.
