Sacramento, California, USA
1430 N Street Room 1500
Emergency shelters receive the most meal benefits for children, at the highest rates of reimbursement, with the least amount of paperwork than any other type of facility in CACFP. CACFP helps enhance the meal services the shelter provides to children and youths who are residents. It gives the shelter a steady stream of Federal money for a nutritious meal service that complements the other services the shelter provides. The reimbursement allows the shelter to devote a smaller portion of resources to food-related expenses, freeing up resources that can be used for other activities.

Hours 11-6 pm. This shelter and vet clinic is operated by Riverside County Animal Services. The budget is funded almost solely by the county Board of Supervisors.
California state law requires all dogs over 4 months old to be licensed and vaccinated for rabies. The City of Riverside also requires that both dogs and cats be spayed or neutered, and have microchips in case they are lost. The City of Riverside contracts with the County of Riverside to provide its animal services through the Riverside County Department of Animal Services (RCDAS).

Riverside County Pet Surgery Grants
Jurupa Valley, California, USA 6851 Van Buren Blvd 92582
San Jacinto, California, USA
581 S. Grand Ave.
Free Pet Surgeries Offered in San Jacinto Special is for any Riverside County Resident Riverside County’s veterinary clinic at the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus is offering free spay or neuter surgeries for Riverside County residents. The free-surgery special begins Monday, Aug. 5. Anyone who has already booked an appointment for the San Jacinto clinic prior to reading this news release, will also receive a free pet surgery.
Please note: the clinic is open Mondays and Tuesdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus is located at 581 S. Grand Ave., San Jacinto, 92582. The county clinic is not affiliated with the Ramona Humane Society, located around the corner from the county’s facility on 7th Street. The county is offering a social-media incentive too. Anyone who “LIKES” the county’s new Facebook page for the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus – simply found by searching for “San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus” – will get a free microchip. Please let clinic staff know you have liked the Facebook page and they will confirm the information to provide your pet with a free microchip.
“We heard a lot of positive comments about the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus during the Mountain Fire incident when we helped Idyllwild-area evacuees by caring for their pets,” Director Robert Miller said. “Another thing we heard is that folks didn’t know the shelter existed. We think this surgery special is a great way to help put the San Jacinto shelter on the map.” The county Department of Animal Services will be using grant funds to offset the costs of the special. The special will run through the rest of summer, with a possible extension, if future grant funds become available.
